This is the view of the anchorage
from the top of the mountain to the North. The white expanse of
beach stretches to the mountain range to the south where the R.V.s
speckle the water front. |
| This is our orange dinghy landed on
the beach and a car in the distance. A handful of tourists visited
most days to snorkel in the clear waters and enjoy the clean white sand
beach. |

The reef was teeming with
interesting fish, including parrot fish, although we couldn't stay in
much longer than 15mins without wetsuits. This was the view from
the mountain, but the view from our boat wasn't that different! |
| We followed the dusty road into the
wilderness and really enjoyed clambering amongst the giant cactus.
I commented that the rock formations were so clean and bright that they
looked like a desert theme park made of styrofoam! |

Yes, this is a real cactus!! |
| You can see the dusty road cutting
through the wilderness. Our original intention was to walk to Cabo
Pulmo to the North, but we found the cactus so interesting we lost track
of time and grew hot and tired pretty quickly. |
