La Paz

En-route to La Paz, Isla Cerralvo is in the background and provided protection from the North wind waves giving us flat calm seas and a hot sunny day.
Our anchorage at Caleta Lobos, where we jumped in the water to cool off and sun bathed for the rest of the afternoon.
The view of Lobos beach and mangroves from our boat at anchor.  This bay is really protected and enclosed giving a nice flat calm sea.
This is the view from the 'Santa Cruz' virtual marina, which is an anchorage area and moorings for $77 a month and use of hot showers and dinghy dock.
This is the view of the waterfront of La Paz from our anchorage.
One of the many brightly painted side walk cafes in La Paz where you can buy fantastic burritos for a couple of dollars.
The streets got really busy for carnival with 95% of the crowd being local mexicans and a handful of yachties and tourists.
Cheeseburgers in Paradise - mexican style!!  Hamburgesa done with flair!
Many balloon sellers were in the streets and gave a really nice splash of colour.
The carnival queen in her very own cage (I think it was a cinderalla type carriage actually)  She had many beautiful princess's on floats behind her in fantastic costumes of bright colours.
