Turtle Bay, Mexico

This is a great view taken from the top of a mountain, showing the whole bay.  The little black dots you can just make out are boats at anchor and you can just see some of the buildings to the middle right in the small village of Turtle Bay
This is the view you can see if the above photo extended out to the left.  This beach is really beautiful, although the surf is a bit tricky to navigate and land the dinghy!  We were saturated by the time we got back to the boat after taking a big wave over the bow, but it was well worth it!  This picture was taken from the same mountain as above, just looking a different way...
From the same mountain again but the opposite view to the bay, showing the desert landscape.  The mountain in the top of the picture is about 30 miles away so you can see how good the visibility was that day!
A close-up of the mountain in the distance and the desert road which would lead to Morro Santo Domingo and the bay there, which is another whale refuge.
These cheeky Pelicans made this Panga their favourite sitting spot and you could take your dinghy right up to them without disturbing their sunbathing!
As we sailed into the Bay we spotted these colourful funeral houses away from the main town and decided to investigate.  We couldn't help but notice that the dead were living better than some of the residents in the main town....
A close-up of one of the funeral homes shows how neat and tidy this area is kept, although you can not see that they throw the garbage just over the fence where I'm standing on the above photo.
This photo is taken of the inside of the funeral house and shows all the toys and belongings of this child who had an early death.
